Achieve Greatness
A dedicated basketball coach, passionate sports enthusiast, and beloved Son lost to fentanyl poisoning, Andrew received fentanyl-laced marijuana given to him by someone he knew; he did not know it was laced.
Please join our cause where we believe raising awareness and preventing tragedies like ours should be a prerequisite, not an afterthought. Together, through sports and education, let's fight against the dangers of all street drugs that are currently being laced with synthetic fentanyl while ensuring a safer community for all, especially our youth.
Who Are We?
Achieve Greatness is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, community-based, boots-on-the-ground organization initially started by our beloved son, Andrew, to train and educate people of all ages on basketball skills. After Andrew passed, his parents formed it into a non-profit to not only provide skill training but also to educate on the dangers of fentanyl in the community. Achieve Greatness is a culmination of his love for basketball and his dedication and passion for working with kids of all ages.
Unfortunately, Andrew’s life was cut short at 33 years old in March 2022 due to fentanyl poisoning. He was given marijuana by someone he knew, but he didn’t tell him the marijuana contained fentanyl.
In memory of our beloved son, Andrew, we are carrying on his legacy through Achieve Greatness while promoting awareness about the dangerous reality of fentanyl exposure in our communities around the country.
Additionally, we are here to bring kids & young adults together, not just with basketball but also through educating the public on the extreme dangers of new tactics to harm our children and loved ones through unknown laced exposure to this lethal drug.
Our Mission
Our mission is to continue to capture Andrew’s vision of sponsoring youth through basketball camps and other sports while also bringing awareness to and educating people about the dangers of fentanyl.
In addition, we will also utilize our platform to address opioid use and addiction in our communities. We are saving lives and...
“Turning Tragedy into Purpose”
Facts About Fentanyl
Illegally-made fentanyl dominates the street drug supply, causing record numbers of drug deaths in America.
Drug users are frequently unaware that their drug contains fentanyl, an opioid 50 times more potent than heroin.
Street drugs like cocaine, ecstasy, heroin, meth, and marijuana often contain fentanyl without the user's knowledge.
Fentanyl is used to press fake prescription pills, sold deceptively as Xanax, Percocet, Oxycodone, and more.
Fentanyl is involved in 79% of drug-related deaths in Gen Z, higher than any other age group.
Fentanyl Awareness Day
In 2022, the DEA recognized the very first Fentanyl Awareness Day. Find out how you can help on this special day by clicking the image. “This day is an effort to educate individuals around the dangerous threat that fentanyl poses to the safety, health, and national security of the American people.” The time for action is now!
