Colonel Byron A. Freeman, Director

Colonel Byron A. Freeman, a retired US Army Military Police (MP) Officer, has over 35 years of law enforcement and security experience. He has extensive military police command and staff experience, including serving as a Provost Marshal (Police Chief) of several US Army military installations and as Military Police Brigade Commander of over 5000 personnel.

He is the President of BAF Security Solutions, LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business that provides world-class, tailored, strategic law enforcement and security training and education services to government agencies and public and private organizations.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Rhode Island, a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University, a Master of Arts in Procurement and Acquisition Management from Webster University, and a Master of Science in National Security and Strategic Studies from the National War College. His law enforcement education includes the US Army Military Police Officers’ Basic and Advanced, Physical Security, Special Reaction Team, and US Air Force Emergency Services Team courses, to name a few.

Colonel Freeman has published numerous law enforcement and security articles. He is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police and a lifetime member of the Military Police Regimental Association.
