Lisa Pedro, BSN, RN, Director and Secretary
The opioid crisis in America is one of our community's most significant health issues. The risk of opioid exposure for our children, families, and nation continues to grow as new exposure methods are developed. Providing education and raising awareness on the dangers of opioids, new ways of exposure, opioid addiction, and emergency response/treatment for an overdose is critical.
Lisa has worked in nursing for over twenty years, earning her bachelor’s degree in nursing science from American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts. She has worked in various nursing roles, including clinical management, hemodialysis, and primary care. Certified in BLS – CPR/AED and First Aid for opioid overdoses.
As the Secretary and Director of Achieve Greatness, she aims to increase education and awareness about the opioid crisis within our community. In memory of Andrew, Lisa will continue his dream of helping youth avoid these risks through sports.
